  • Uris Hall
    Columbia University School of Business

In 2005, BFA executed a master plan to identify opportunities for the improvement and expansion of this prominent 199,000 sf building, home to Columbia’s Business School since 1964.

The first phase of work included the renovation of the entrance, elevator lobby, and monumental stair hall with a design that integrated the latest communications technology and gave the school a fresh image. Succeeding renovations and additions included classrooms, a student lounge, a coffee bar, and the library reading room, which was remodeled to add seventeen well-used group study rooms. These interventions will keep Uris Hall in full use until the business school’s 2021 move to a new building on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus.
