    Located on Riverside Drive in Morningside Heights, Manhattan, this institution, also known as I-House, is a private, non-profit residence and cultural center for international graduate students and research scholars associated with various universities in New York City. BFA was commissioned to produce a building assessment and a master plan for phased renovations.

    Interventions included restoration of the historic Main Lounge; the creation of new office suites, meeting rooms, and support spaces; and a multi-year renovation of resident rooms in the original 1924 South building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the adjacent North building, built in the 1960s and acquired by I-House in 1989. Most recently, BFA produced a zoning analysis, feasibility study, and conceptual design for a 60,000 SF multi-use addition to the I-House campus.
