  • Stevens Institute of Technology, Provost’s Office Suite

Located in Hoboken, New Jersey, Stevens was founded in 1870. It is one of the oldest technological universities in the US and America’s first college solely dedicated to mechanical engineering. The school has evolved and grown significantly in recent decades, elevating it to the forefront of education in advanced technology disciplines.

BFA has done several renovation projects at Stevens, including the new Provost’s Office Suite, which occupies the full 9th floor of the Wesley J. Howe Center, the main administrative office tower. The gut renovation yielded a highly efficient layout of private offices, open staff offices, shared workspaces, conference rooms, and a series of breakout nooks. One of our prime design objectives was to keep the floor as visually open as possible, with low cubicle dividers and glass partitions so that all occupants can enjoy the spectacular views across the Hudson River to lower Manhattan.
